I’m Adrienne Boswell. I cook, I write, and I build things on the web.

This site is a place for context. It’s where I talk about what’s happening behind the scenes of my work, why certain projects exist, what I learned along the way, and occasionally what went wrong. It’s not meant to replace anything else I do. It’s meant to explain it.

The Good Plate

Most people find me through The Good Plate, where I publish practical, technique-driven recipes. A new recipe goes out every Friday. The focus there is ingredients, method, and why something works. That site is intentionally clean and instructional. When I link to The Good Plate from here, it’s because there’s more detail waiting for you there.

Books and Writing

I’m the author of multiple cookbooks, including The Good Plate Wings and Talking Turkey. I’m also working on additional food and non-food books, some of which are in active development. When it makes sense, I’ll talk about that process here, because publishing is rarely as linear as people think it is.

Web and Technical Work

Before food writing took center stage, I worked in web development and technical consulting. I still do some of that work, especially when it overlaps with publishing, accessibility, performance, and long-term site maintenance. This space gives me room to talk about those topics without forcing them into places they don’t belong.

If you’re here, you probably followed a link from somewhere else I publish. This page exists so you know who’s talking, and why.
